Dear Patients,
I write to you today with a heart full of both gratitude and sorrow. After much prayer and reflection, I have made the very difficult decision to retire from dentistry due to a spinal cord injury that has resulted in paraplegia. This life-altering event has left me unable to continue practicing at the standard of excellence I have always held myself to and that you so greatly deserve.
Throughout this journey, my family and I have been overwhelmed by your love, support, and prayers. We are truly grateful.
Being your dentist over the years has been one of my greatest blessings. The relationships built, the trust shared, and the moments of joy and healing have brought deep meaning to my career and personal life. I thank God for the opportunity He gave me to serve through dentistry, and I am incredibly grateful for allowing me to be part of your life in such a meaningful way.
As I step away from my clinical role, it is deeply important to me that you continue to receive exceptional care. With that in mind, I am honored to introduce you to a longtime colleague and friend, Dr. Pedraum Heydari. Dr. Heydari and I attended dental school together, and I can say with confidence that he embodies the same values of integrity, compassion, and excellence that have guided this practice. He believes in building long-term relationships and providing gentle, personalized care of the highest standard.
Dr. Heydari has been serving the Puyallup community for the past six years, and even before my injury, we had been discussing a partnership. I believe he is the perfect fit for 12 Dentistry and that he will continue this work with great care and dedication. I am at peace knowing the practice is in such capable and caring hands. Please welcome Dr. Heydari with the same warmth and trust you so kindly extended to me.
Thank you again for the cherished memories and privilege of being your dentist. While this chapter comes to a close, I am comforted in knowing that God's plans are always good, even when they lead us down new paths. May God bless you and your loved ones with health, joy, and peace in all the days ahead.
Blessings,
Ron Ko, DMD
